What I've been up to in SG #02 - PL & Gina's solemnization

I'm gna split this post into 2 parts - 1st part being the actual event of PL & Gina's solemnization and the 2nd part will be the after-party celebration :)

Since I was back in SG from 29th April to 9th May, how can I miss out this very special day of my friends'? I guess I've known them for about 4years already, both of them had a very wonderful history - with PL trying to woo Gina for 3years but to no avail! haha. But they were finally together during the start of 2009 & now on 7th May 2011, they are happily married.

7th May is indeed a very special day - their solemnization & Singapore GE 2011! It was indeed a mad rush that day, with majority of them being 21 & older, thus they need to vote (including the bride & groom).

so on that day, Jh came to pick me along with Carline, Suman & Poh ting around 12ish. Head over to PL's house (where the solemnization is being held) to meet the rest.

Came back to SG for a week plus from 29th April to 9th May. So while I was back, I attended Corey's ORD parade on the 6th May.

Seems like just yesterday when he just enlist. I can still remember sending him to camp, touring around his camp & bunk with him, kissing him goodbye cus he will be confined for 2 weeks upon enlisting. Busying myself with SIMS3 & school while he was being confined. Fetching him on his first bookout.....

Attended his POP parade. Sending him to Brunei and Wallaby for his overseas training.

Ahhhhh. In a blink of eye, nearly 2 years had passed. (His official ORD date is in June)

I'm sure he will miss his NS life very much!

Today is the 28th of April which means we have been together for 4years 11month! I'll be seeing you tmr, can't wait to smack your bouncy tummy. Next month will be our 5th year anniversary! We've been thru so much! many more obstacles to come since I'm in Penang now. It's gna be one hell of a ride for the next 5 months. Don't say I didn't warn you beforehand! Friends around us all say that we can prepare to get married already but you being you, insist for me to get you a DUCATI before you propose. HAHAHA Ducati cannot afford la, TER-KA-TI (pig leg) can la, you want? :p

I havent seen you for a month & honestly, it feels like a year...

And when I tell you I love you I mean that you can make my heart ache in places deep inside of myself, and at the same time make it sing more beautifully than can be described. I mean that you can give me life or take it away from me. You are my complete happiness and my misery.

heading back to SG this Friday! cant w8 to go back to the city of fines even though it's only for a week or so. can't w8 to see all my friends & of course Corey! I'll be attending Corey's ORD parade too! I think it will be the first & last & only time I'll ever see him in a number 1 uniform :) I never thought I'll say this, but, thank god for elections!

It's a sunday afternoon & I'm alone in my room now using the laptop. I think I'm going blind soon - facing the laptop for at least 8-9hours from Monday to Sunday. At least there's some trees outside my room for me to look at when my eyes are tired from looking at the laptop screen.

So I wanted to upload some photos on my little trip to Penang island yesterday. But sadly, my card reader is not reading (CARD READER, Y U NO READ CARD) so pictures gotta wait.

Right so my trip to Penang island was pretty good, Ms Chen (a colleague) came and pick us (Sam & me) up around 1ish and we had MacDonalds for lunch! I didn't know I'll miss having macs so much. Was feeling pretty down cus I'm having some arguements with fatcat. I really h8 it when we quarrel, it just makes things even harder. I don't know if we are considered being in a long distance relationship right now, since Penang is only an hour plus plane ride to Sg. But aiyah you know luh, Penang say far not far, say near not near. Anw, being away from each other for so long already sucks but having those silly arguments too? sucks even more. I know it's my decision to go Penang & I've got to face the consequences all but still! I don't feel any more better than you do.

Ok back to the trip yesterday. After lunch we drove to Penang island. Honestly, I love Penang island! All the bustle and hustle of a city. Penang island is actually no much difference from Sg. We went to Gurney Plaza and I saw TOPSHOP! omg cannot contain my excitement - literally skipped into TOPSHOP. 1/2 hour later, I came out with a shopping bag in my hand which contains the cutest denim jacket everrrrr :) Original price was RM219 but I've got a discount cus I'm a F3 card member, so I only paid RM197 for it. good deal!!!

Then we walked around somemore, bought some shaving cream from Watsons then went to Coffeebean to rest + have a drink. Gawd I miss Coffeebean! I miss all the random weekend nights spending at Forum's Coffeebean with my fatcat :( looking at prostitutes, bikes all... sigh. alright so we gossiped about work.

Left around 6ish, head back to Penang City for dinner. Had dinner at some coffeeshop which is famous for the 'mee tai bak'. Then went to Auto-City. Went into one of the pubs' - Over Time and chill there. Great place for chilling! There's a bike clan function going on too, tons of big bikes (think KR NINJA, KTM DUKE, R6, CBR1000) parked outside the pub! one whole stretch somemore. If fatcat is here, he'll prolly wet his pants haha. Great liveband too! But we left shortly after the liveband started their performance because Ms Chen has to go pick her daughter up. We reached home at 11plus going 12? Not too bad for a Saturday, at least I'm not stucked at home for the whole day!

fatcat, I wish we can stop having those 1 word convo or whatever. I don't like it :( I know it's hard to maintain a r/s through whatsapp, texts and the occasion phone calls + webcams session. But I know we can get through this! It takes 2 hands to clap so I hope both of us can put in effort to make this r/s last. Have a little faith alright... I know sometimes I say the most stupidest thing when i'm angry but don't mind me ok. I say it cus I'm pissed off and when I'm pissed off I tend to be kinda sarcastic & say stuff out without thinking. Just remember that you are the one I love and nothing will break our 5years r/s :)

HOLA EVERYONE! Yea yea suprising isn't it, I'm finally blogging again after several decades. Haha. Oh well I'm too bored so I guess I'm back into this blogging thing yaww.

So yup, I'm currently in my room right, all alone with only my laptop and 2 books to accompany me. Loser much. Btw kids, I'm in Penang right now for internship, will be back in September! But of course I'll try and head back to Singapore every now and then for a short 'holiday'.

I guess I'm slowly adapting to the slow paced life here. Honestly, it's kinda..... relaxing. Everything here is quite slow paced & interning at a compant here have no pressure. No kiddin'. It's like everyone here do things at their own sweet time....... It's kinda frustrating at first but I'm immune to it already haha. But if you ask me if I'll prefer staying here and working here, I'll say hell no. I'm a city girl, have been and always will be. I'm not suited for the quiet simple lifestyle here. Although the food is really really good.... & really small portion too ;)

Anyway I was inspired to blog because I wanna note down all the "major mistakes" I've done here so far. It's kinda funny thinking about now.

1) So according to Samuel (who's here for internship with me), the first major mistake I do is always asking silly questions at the wrong timing. Of course he didn't phrase it so nicely la. Haha I did noticed it myself too, like always asking random questions. E.g. we were having prawn mee for breakfast the other day, and I asked him, why your prawn mee so little taugay? HAHAHA I mean obviously the answer is because he already ate them up! But seriously, I'm not asking, I'm just commenting. I'm not expecting an answer, really....

2) Second major mistake here, I BOOKED THE WRONG FLIGHT FOR THE TIX BACK TO SINGAPORE. Which then resulted in paying an additional $110 to change flights....... & when I tried paying for the additional $110, MY CREDIT CARD GOT DECLINED. Which caused me to have a mini panic attack but it's all good now :) Note to self: always double triple check flight itinary before clicking 'confirm'.

3) Third major mistake, so yesterday was laundry day. We always bring our dirty laundry to next door (extended family of current chairman at the company I'm interning for) and use their washing machine because our lovely house, has no washing machine that is working. So the next door's washing machine is those kind that you need to take the pipe out and leave it in the washroom cus while washing, the dirty water will run of from the pipe. So yesterday I used the washing machine and clever me didn't remove the pipe and put it in the washroom. While we are preparing to have dinner, the whole kitchen was flooded with soapy water. OMG moment seriously. I volunteered to mop up but they asked their maid to do it instead. I think the maid is angry at me for causing extra trouble for her. She kept glaring at me throughout :(

I think that's about it, I will update more major mistakes if there is. Please bear in mind I've only been here for 2weeks plus & I've already caused so much trouble. Hahahaha.... Toodles!

It's getting harder to get good grades in class recently. No matter how much effort I put in, I can only get a B. Why issit so difficult to get an A? I participate in class and did my work. Le sigh....

It's December already. Time seem to pass super fast whenever the year is coming to an end. Everyday I'll think about what had happened in this year - and I'm glad for every single thing that happened, be it big or small, good or bad. December is also an extremely broke month for me. I have three 21st birthdays celebrations to attend this week, back to back. I need better money and time management for year 2011!

I haven't been spending much time with my poly clique - aaron, allen, prissy, eve and richard. I'm sorry my dear last minute chiongsters! I'll make time for you all... I feel like I havent been talking to you guys much. ok getting kinda emo here already. better stop this mushy shit haha.

oh on a side note, the mega mall NEX at Serangoon is opened already! it's indeed huge and all. will check it out again when all the shops are fully open.

I kept wanting to update, but there's no time for me to do so. Dont know why I can't blog on my Blackberry anymore. something's wrong, I guess.

Anw just some updates:

1) Corey left for Aussie on the 5th of Nov & will be coming back... tmr night! He'll reach around 3am on Friday morning but I'm not gna pick him cus I've school. Hey school's more important than love yea?!

2) From the moment Corey went to Aussie, I've been fully packed with my own schedule. beenn hanging out with pri school friends, secondary school friends, poly clique etc etc. I'm fully packed all the way til end Dec! I feel stress just looking at my organizer. Too many events, so little money :(

3) Attended several friends' birthday. Hweezi's, Gina's, Pam's (which was one hell of a blast at MSB - more on that l8r) and Jerome's. Upcoming ones will be Bing Jun's & Huishan's. Not to mention there will be a wedding dinner to attend to in Dec! Dec is indeed the month of celebrations. oh.... and Corey's birthday!

4) Virgin visit to MBS for Pam's 20th birthday. Liwei was such a sweet friend to contact all her friends (pri, sec, colleagues etc) to all get together to celebrate her birthday for her! They booked a suite too. Although it was quite small for $800/night *shurgs*. The surprise party was a success and I had lotsa fun that night! Made some new friends too. Pam the birthday girl was damn bloody wasted though!

5) School is still the same...... Glad to say I'm getting along quite well with my classmates! Still close with the "Last Minute Chiongsters" -- Aaron Allen Richard Me Eve and Prissyball. What's school without them?! haha. I love them so much!

6) Attended Rapunzel Movie Gala thanks to Prissyball for the tix. My first time ever attending a movie gala. Free popcorn, drinks... & a HAIR RELAXING BALM. HAHAHA! anw, the movie was mad awesome! You guys should watch it!

7) I MUST REALLY STOP SPENDING.

Skipped school ystday cus I was wearing slippers thus attendance not marked. Went to CQ first with "Last Minute Chiongsters" (except for Richard, spoiler!) & Rex. then to town cus Rex wanna get a belt. & he did get a Gucci one without much hesistation. Pay by cash somemore! Respect. Walked around and I got a new bag for school from Longchamp. I was sold the minute I knew my laptop can fit into the bag. SIGH but I kinda regret it? Why would I spend $273 on a bag just for school? What was I thinking? I'm alrd broke. Nov + Dec = VERY BROKE MONTH. I really really cannot control & resist temptations man... le sigh.

think I'll need to get another job to fund my shopping. am i considered a shoppaholic? I'm quite scared for myself too, at this rate I'm spending.

now I can't stop thinking about that pair of Raoul flats. most comfy shoes ever. argh.....

Been almost a month since I last blogged? Haha. I can blog on-the-go but I'm still so lazy to do so. I'm currently at Central Mall waiting for prissy & eve. They went to collect their pay but don't know what's taking them so long!

Class chalet was over too. I was pretty disappointed by it. During class, everyone was super steady about it. All so bloody enthu. After consolidating everyone's available date, I decided to book it on the 5th oct. Yea I know, all UTs end around 13th sept, so we should hold the class chalet earlier. But Hari Raya is also around that period, thus we hold the chalet in the beginning of Oct. Majority of the classmates are ON about it. I booked the chalet in August, if there's a need for you to take off for work for the chalet, 1month plus is more than enough time for you to take off, right!? I book the chalet using my credit card, and until now, not all paid up.

I know, some of you didn't turn up due to "work", "going overseas" bla bla bla, and some find it unfair that I still ask them to pay up even though they did not turn up. Well, I don't give a bloody fuck seriously. in the first place, all of you so steady abt the chalet. After I booked it & chase you all for payment, all shunned me. I texted, no replies. I post on your FB wall, don't wanna reply. Now I've finally seen the true colours of these so call steady classmates.

Putting that aside, the mini class chalet was actually quite fun! Esp at night when the few of us (pris, eve, xinhue & me) had our girly heart-to-heart talks. Awesome! Sorry faiz, who's the guy there! I know you feel kinda leftout... Sorry!!!

Eve & me didn't sleep the whole night! Pris & xinhue went to sleep around 7ish. Haha. We kinda forbade them to sleep but they're really really tired. Faiz slept around 4ish? Only eve & me, the true champions of the night stayed awake throughout! :D

But the minute I went home, I totally went into coma... Slept all the way til dinner time.

Results are also out. Checked mine. GPA dropped by 0.03 :( but overall module grades were ok. Managed to a C & above for all modules. It was a tough semester, I played way too hard. Next semester gotta buck up already!

I'm on the train otw home now.

Anw, all UTs are over! So far so good?

Logistics was do-able.
Stats... Same ol' stats. Didn't really to finsh the whole paper, but what's new?
Operation Planning was OKAY. I managed to revise the workshop qns before the paper started, so I can do 80% of the paper.
Inventory Management was kinda disappointing. I should be able to do ALL qns. But I left 2 qns blank cus I don't have time and also I can't recall how to do.
Engineering cost decision today was so-so. Left about 5-6 one mark qns blank.

Hopefully I can pass all & get at least a C for all! Need to pull up my GPA. I don't wanna be deprived of university education! But its so tough to get into a local uni from poly. Study while you can kids, once you step out into working society, you'll miss your schooling days.

So now, the real holidays began!

Can't sleep.

Been tossing & turning in the bed for about 30mins. I should be very tired by now, but I can't sleep? Must be the nap earlier on.

You know what?

I miss having the 'butterflies in stomach' kinda feeling. You know... Its the kind of feeling you get when:

1) you spotted your crush along the school's corridor (or anywhere).

2) When you're trying to strike up a conversation with your crush.

2) When you're out on your first date & you're just so bloody nervous.

Yea I miss that kinda feeling.

Maybe corey & me have been tgt for too long (4years plus) and there's no excitement anymore. Everything is just like a routine. We'll go to the same place on weekends and do the same thing. Even when we go have a drink or smth, we'll order the same drinks we always order.

I guess there's just no motivation to try out new stuff anymore.

No more spontaneous trips. (E.g. Let's go cycling this weekend at ECP! Ok on!!)

I remember we used to go new places that we both have never been to before. Just because we feel like going. We don't have own transport in the past, but that doesn't stop us from going! But now, after having own transport, we stop going. Everywhere we go, we gotta think of ERP, parking spots easy to find anot yada yada all that stuff.

Spontaneous trips we go in the past: we'll go Mustafa Centre one day, and have dinner at a indian restaurant nearby. And on another day, we'll take a walk at Fort Canning Park. We'll go tanning at sentosa. Take a stroll at ECP etc.

We don't do that anymore.

It kinda scares me. Are we turning into an old boring couple, who hit town (nearly) every saturday, and on sundays, we'll hang around at my place til he books in?

Give me a few more months & I'll be digging my nose infront of him, because I'm too comfortable infront of corey. (I know its a disturbing image but come on la, everyone digs nose right???)

I wish that I can turn back the clock and experience the 'butterflies in stomach' feeling all over again.

It works! Wooohooo. Now I can blog on-the-go.

So I'm currently at work on a lovely saturday morning. Left with approx 1.5 hours more & I'm done.

Right. Caught Resident Evil: Afterlife last night with corey. The movie's a bore... I was falling asleep during the first 20mins of the show? Everything's slow-mo. The graphics are not too bad though. I think the 3D effects are pretty good too. But the storyline...... I thought this would be the last installment for Resident Evil. Boy, am I wrong. There's still another part continuing. Seriously, when are they ever gg to end?? Another thing that's bothering me is my birthday celebration. I'm trying to plan out a day with my girls, but it doesn't seem to be working out. Everyone is busy with their own stuff/work/school. Wanna meet for a dinner also difficult. Maybe I shouldn't celebrate. No one bother anyway...

I wish we're still in secondary school where we are free everyday (apart from the supplementary classes bla bla bla). At least it's easier to skip these classes & go out to enjoy, than skip work. Right?

another mother pissed me off real bad last night. I swear this is the first time I spoke so rudely to a parent! but I really don't give a fuck anymore man. so here's the scenario:

PISS-DOROTHY-OFF CASE #2

*** i shall not disclose their identity. i'll just call the parties involved MUM, OLDER SIS, YOUNGER SIS.

okay. so last night, a student came and pay tuition fees for both her's and her younger sister. total fees was $444.5o. the older sis signed up for our sunday revision classes, which is an additional $90 per session. she signed up for 3 sessions. so its a total of $270, plus regular tuition fees, = $714.50.

her mum gave her only $600.

WHICH is too little to pay for total fees (including revision fees) or too much to pay for regular tuition fees. so, if you were in my shoes, you'll prolly assume that the mum gave too little right? because the older sis alrd went for our revision classes, so we have to collect the revision fees from her.

I issued 3 different receipts for her. 1 for older sis, 1 for younger sis and 1 for revision classes. with an outstanding amount of $114.50 in the revision classes receipt.

10mins later, their mum called, and complain. note: this is the first phone call only.

mum: "I don't wish to pay for revision classes first, I wanna see if ~older sis~ need more revision classes, then we'll pay one lump sum together. I gave ~older sis~ $600 only because I don't wish to pay for revision fees what. people with common sense should know."

me: "oh but ~older sis~ alrd attended 2 revision classes so we have to collect the fees. she's suppose to attend last week's one, but she didn't come."

mum: "she's sick so she didn't come. anyway, your in-charge is suppose to feedback to me and let me know how's ~older sis~ performance so far. she didn't feedback to us, how we know?"

me: "errr, ok you gotta understand that my in-charge has alot of students to handle, and she can't possibly inform every student's parents of the students performance. maybe you can sms her and ask her."

mum: "what kinda customer service is this? I called you to inform you abt the feedback, and you ask me to sms her myself? girl, you know how to do things anot? wait til you're a parent, and have to fork out $1000+ for your child's tuition fees then you will know."

ok sidetrack alil, this mum here, keep saying she needs to see if she needs to send ~older sis~ for more revision classes. she said that if need to continue sending, she will need to pay $1080 for all revision classes. but the thing is, she haven't decide if she wanna continue letting ~older sis~ go for it. so she haven't pay the $1080, yet the she keep yakking about it.

ok let's continue...

me: "ok sorry I will ask my in-charge to get back to you."

mum: "yea thats the way, you know your centre tuition fees are actually quite high? other places charge $150 for 2 subjects, your there $150 for e-maths only."
me: "hmmmmm.........."

mum: "and also it's so hard to talk to your in-charge. we need to know how's ~older sis~ performance what, my daughter is still not 21, so she's not an adult yet. she can't make decisions for herself, we have to make for her."

I seriously rolled my eyes at this part.

anyway after 5mins of her repeating the same old thing, she said she'll send ~older sis~ down to pay the remaining outstanding fees. this mum here even taught me how to issue a receipt, WHAT THE HELL.

just before her daughter came, she called again. which is roughly the same convo in 1st phone call. I tell you, even her daughter can't stand her own mother. so I issued another receipt for outstanding amount, and ~older sis~ went home.

5mins after she went back home, irritating mum called again. which again, is roughly the same convo, but this time round, she added on saying my in-charge can't be reached. so hard to talk to her, worse than trying to talk to a prime minister.

anyway I've feedback to my in-charge alrd, and she told me she will email the mum. I told the mum this, and she was like..

mum: "EMAIL? Email also need to wait for a few days. I don't understand why issit to hard to talk to your in-charge. last sunday ~older sis~ told me revision classes cancelled, thats why she did'nt go for classes."
me: "no, classes as per normal."

note: in phone call #1, she ownself say ~older sis~ sick thats why didn't attend lesson. now give another reason?

mum: "-turns and scold ~older sis~, you see la, all this miscommunication happens because of what? because we can't talk to your incharge! everything rely on sms or email."

me: "yea she's very busy, no time to talk to her one. but she'll email you."

mum: "email again. i wonder what happen to those parents who can't read english, how they communicate to her?"

me: "my in-charge will convey the message to me, and I'll let these parents know."

mum: "so no other parents ever complained about this issue?"

me: "so far no, all very ok with the way she handle things."

I think I pissed her off quite badly too. but she's really ridiculous la! I bet she wanna complain long ago, just that she kept it in her heart, then complain everything at one go.

I'm just really unlucky to be working last night man. I hate dealing with this mum, think she has like OCD. everything must write according to her way.

don't think being an admin has no stress. try dealing with this kinda parent and you will know what I mean. you think only teachers have stress? teachers deal with the kids, we deal with their parents. which is worse? the kid may be naughty, rebellious. but at least at the end of the day, he will still listen (kinda?). we have to deal with the parents. some parents are nice, easy to handle. some parents? worse than their kids. you tell me la, stress anot?

I wanted to upload photos, but blogger don't allow me to do so! keep FAIL. why ah!?
I've got so much to update.

First of all, it's the holidays alrd! Well, a short YOG break before UT3, then the real holiday begins.

Had been sick on the first week of holidays. Terrible! I have such low immune system. I fell sick after eating half a bag of tapioca chips. I thought it would pass after 1 or 2 days. The first few days was horrible man, my temperature was unstable. Kept flactuating between 38-39 degrees. I was so afraid I kena dengue or H1N1. Luckily it passed after the weekends, but the cough & block nose is still here! I've stop taking the cough syrup and aniti-biotics already. I don't find the medicine useful at all. Only good at making me drowsy and sleepy....

Currently working ~full~ time at the tuition centre. Took over one of my colleague's shift because she's busy making Hari Raya kuehs. Been a looooong time since I worked 8hours shift. so not used to it... I think work is getting more and more boring! I mean, I kinda lost my motivation to work. In the past, I work so I can save up for my DSLR. now that I've gotten it, I find it pointless to work? But if I don't work, I'll be damn restless at home! Aiya, working is still better. At least I have extra income to shop and I can pass time too.

Life with Corey is good. We seldom argue anymore. We're spending every weekends alone now :) I do miss spending time with the rest like JH, CH all. But I guess each of them have their own things to do?? Esp JH since he's attached now. We don't meet up for suppers or hang-out sessions anymore :( even if we do, it's just for a short while.... anyway corey and me had been spending alot of time at Borders and Forum's Coffeebean on weekends. it's our new hang-out!!! we go there almost every weekend and stay there til it closes. we really nua every we go. sometimes we'll go Haji Lane to shisha. and on Sundays, corey will come over to my place, and we will spend the evening nua-ing somemore infront of my laptop/tv til it's time for him to book in. quality time spend tgt!

Planning for a short overseas trip this upcoming sept hols. Initial plan was to go HK with the gang, but due to unforseen circumstances we decided to cancel it. Then we planned to go nearby to chill, but CH like not so keen. and some of us can't make it. maybe it'll just be corey & me heading off to somewhere to chill. corey was suggesting Genting (again) to gamble, but I wanna go somewhere where I can tan! hahahaha. or shop. or go on a cruise! haha. still planning man, everything is not finalized yet.

All in all, life's pretty good!

school is still same old sickening school. cant wait for the holidays, really need a break from all the work & school work. gotten back all of my first UT results, and sad to say it isnt very fantastic. merely borderline passes. I even failed one module. time to start pulling my socks up! UT2 is on its way. starting tmr, i will be facing 3 straight days of hell. school > test > work > home > RJ > revise > sleep & the routine continues... sometimes I wonder how do other students cope with it?! some of them seem so perfect to me. maybe it's my time management problem. I'm always rushing for time, no idea why. 24hours a day is definitely not enough for me.

it's only monday and I'm looking forward to the weekends already.

Did I mention that I finally got a Blackberry 9700? Yea this model has been out for awhile now, but previously my singtel plan havent reach the 1year mark, therefore I can't change plan. And if I buy the phone without contract, it'll cost $800+?? I enquired abt the phone afew months back, but Singtel person told me that this model is out of stock islandwide? ok.. so I managed to held my temptations back, cus I was still using Corey's BBB 9000.

But yesterday, I went to the IT Fair at suntec, and my plan has reached a year, plus they have stock for this model! Yeppp so I got it without much hesitation! I upgraded my plan to Blackberry Flexi Plan, which is $68/month, with all the students benefit like unlimited SMS and campus call and and and 15GB of data usage! I think it's quite worthwhile, since my monthly phonebill also around $60++. I paid another $248 for the phone too.

So far so good, the trackpad is really smooth and sensitive, I find it easier to scroll as compared to the BB 9000. And it weighs lighter than the 9000 too!

Singtel says it takes 4 days to activate my new plan, can't wait to download themes into my new phone! ahhhh but I saw this rrly cute British Hello Kitty theme which is only available for 9000 :( I hope they have one for the 9700 soon.

I am lucky.

I have a family, although they always nag at me, they are also the one who care most about me. Whenever I'm working at HG, my dad will always come pick me up after work no matter how tired he is. And when I'm working at Serangoon, my mum will always send food over to my work place for me. My dad stuff money underneathe my pillow every weekend cus he knows Im a big spender.

I have a -cough-loving-cough- boyfriend, who always pampers me, makes me laugh and gets me pretty much anything I want. All my watches, ipod nano, itouch, 60% of my shoes, some clothes, blackberry are all bought by him. ok, technically speaking the blackberry still belongs to him, Im merely using on his behalf. but you get the drift. I know he cares about me, although he doesn't express it very well :) And I know he will always catch me when I fall.

I have a bunch of trust-worthy friends. Whom do not judge me and support my every decision. Whom I can talk to when Im having issues, and they always give me the best advice. You know who you are :)

Saturday spotted me wandering around Vivo City like a lost child while waiting for my best friend to knock off from work. well, not really a lost child. reached Vivo at 630pm and I went to my favvvvv store - Topshop. Bought a tee & a pair of rrly cute polka dot tights. too bad I ripped it the moment I got home.

Had cravings for something fishy. so trained down to PS and had late dinner at Mahattan Fish Market. can't finish the food! Big portion for a small eater like me. Walk abit around PS before ET complained she was really really tired and we took the circle line back to Sgoon.

Met Corey at Macs, and decided to head to East Coast for his ultra late dinner. Queues everywhere! we had to q-up for 30mins before getting a seat..... but the sze chuan hot & spicy soup makes it all worth it! oh the ice milk tea float too :)

Sunday. Had brunch at Park Royal Hotel with my family. Very little varieties of food. if you dont take seafood, like me, then there's no point eating there. went to Fox to look at Corey's goggles. then to Bugis to get more tights from Topshop. haha. i dint rip the new ones! work in the evening.

It's Monday and it's back to school once again. why do weekends always pass so fast? dint even manage to rest well at all....

alright, haven't been updating much. school has started and stress level is increasing! my new classmates were alright, but most of them were pretty hardworking. looks are indeed deceiving.

trying to lose weight too! because honestly, nothing taste as good as skinny feels. used to eat 3meals a day? now im cutting down to 2. one in the morning, for my morning break, and the other meal's dinner, at arnd 7ish. no more supper/late night cravings! lose weight lose weight lose weight go go go!

urgh. sometimes i wonder why are there such parents in the world! wearing rolex, carrying LV, Gucci, Blackberry and stay in a condo, but wanna scrimp and save on their own child's education.

who: non-local family
what: came in to enrol their son for intensive english lesson
when: today, 23rd march 2010, tuesday, 5+pm
why: son's english is not too good and they're trying to enrol him into a local secondary school
how: registed, paid for march's lessons, deposit of one month and registration fee

scenario:

family came in today to register. came down ystday night (when i wasn't working) to enquire about rates. as their son is weak in english, recommended them to try out the intensive classes.

note: intensive classes for primary levels are $250/4 weeks. child can come everyday to drill on english DAILY. daily supervision on homework etc. material all provided. table & chairs provided. aircon & light provided.

wife came in with son today to enrol. told them to pay $125(remaining march's fees) + $250 (one month deposit) + $20 (registration fee), total = $395.

as per normal tuition centre, our centre here count our fees for 4weeks. so the $250 tuition fee is for 4weeks. as march is only left with 2 weeks, i collected $125 from them. CORRECT? doesn't matter that the son only come in for 7 days for lesson. the 7 days is spread out in 2 weeks, so it will still be counted as 2 weeks.

DAD unhappy about the way we calculate the rates, called me to complain (arnd 9pm). say it isn't fair that he must pay $125 for only 7 days of tuition. demanded an explaination. explained to him on the phone, he doesn't understand. i then told him that i will call him back l8r once i've clarified with my in-charge, and also, there are other parents arnd waiting to talk to me.

DAD is impatient. can't wait. came in to our centre arnd 930pm, want to talk to me in person. fine! even better. explained and explained and explained. still dont get it. or maybe he does, but still find it unfair. hello?? rates are all standardized. i can't change YOUR child's tuition fees just cus you find it unfair. if i change it for you, what about other people? it will be unfair to them too.

DAD says the way we count is WRONG WRONG WRONG & ILLOGICAL. he claimed that he major in maths in his country, and has a DEGREE in maths. this rrly pissed me off ttm. excuse me, mr-degree-in-maths, just becus you have a degree in maths, doesn't means that you have a better understanding of the rates than me. I, have been working there for close to a month, other than the in-charge there, i am the 2nd best to ask when enquring about rates. so what if i am still a poly student? who cares if you have a degree, diploma, o/n'level cert, PSLE cert, if you know how our rates go? our rates go by per 4weeks.

we, being the nice tuition centre, even throw in one day free for him. so means, 8 days of tuition for $125. by right, 1st april shld be counted as another month rate. means another week to pay for. but we gave it to him for free. FREE LEI. other pple pay for that lesson, we give it to him FOR FREE.

DAD argued with me, til 1035pm. 1035pm!! when im supposed to end work at 1015pm ON THE DOT.

told DAD, if he cant compromise with our rates and cant reach an understanding with us, we got no choice but to return him his money and ask him to leave.

DAD, realised he can't win. says "fine. money is not impportant to me, my child's education is. but i just want to say your way of calculating is really unfair and illogical. i thought singapore maths is good? seems like they're wrong."

DAD, before leaving, says this in a EXTREMELY sarcastic tone (with a FAKE smile). "sorry, sorry for wasting your time. sorry for dragging. sorry for me being a stupid man signing up with you. sorry and goodnight."

qui le fuck?! first thing first, which tuition centre has this kinda lessons whereby you pay a mere $250/4weeks and can come for tuition everyday? i tell you, outside rates confirm higher than us. $250 can prolly land you with a tuition once or twice a week MAX. not everyday ok. 5 days / week.

i wanna go shopping, but i can't. cus right now, im saving up for something that i had wanted for a very long time but yet dint get it in the past cus i spend too much "unseen" money. sigh, browsing on topshop.com is not helping too. i want that Harem pants which i saw at topshop! but it's a whopping $89 and im not even sure if i will wear it. i just wanna own it! decisions, decisions....

working this whole week, every single day. it's either at the tuition centre or at the DVD rental store. i need a break! prolly not gna continue the DVD rental store job once my contract's up. but one thing for sure, im gna miss watching the DVDs there man.

Im now reading Flowerpod forum on How To Save Money. some of the methods i've tried before, like:

Saving up coins (Yes it works! Use your notes to buy things like drinks etc. & save up the $1, remaining coins like 20cents, 50cents all can be used as loose change)

Give your byfriend your ATM card, or lock it up yourself. (Well, it did work... for a period of time before I started demanding my ATM card back. i just dont feel secure without it. but now i dont bring ATM cards to school alrd!)

Cut down on cabfare, take the bus/mrt. (Yup it worked too.. im saving quite abit by cutting down on cabfares! esp now since corey and my friends all have own transport, it makes things easier too)

Writing down what you spend on daily. (Ok i tried this for afew weeks, and then i got lazy to continue writing... but maybe those with smartphones can try? typing is afterall easier than writing)

Going home for dinner (Yup when im not going out, i will have my dinner at home! even when working. i will eat dinner at home first before i go to work)

Bring your own water (Yuppppp brought water bottle to school and to work. can save like $2/day!)

Some other interesting methods that everyone can try out....

Rent DVDs instead of watching movie (can save up to $5-$6) [Depends la sometimes need to go cinema and watch and mingle around!]

Put aside a fixed amount per month into another bank account & do not touch it. (best is with no ATM card) (maybe standard chartered?)

Restrict yourself to buy only one new clothing per month.

Do shopping mostly when on sales (ok.. but sometimes sales item not rrly nice & it's horribly crowded)

Read magazines at Kiokuniya or Borders

Cancel your ibanking or internet account so cannot shop online. (wicked! not sure if i have the courage to do it...)

DON'T BUY THINGS ON IMPULSE

There... now im all gear up to start saving money! anw, just asking around if anyone signed up for savings plan at Prudential? Im thinking of signing up cus the interest rate sounds attractive BUT im not sure if i can give a fix amount every month at the rate im spending.

P.S im so glad i got a day job now. no more bumming around at home during the day! i dont really understand how can some people not work and just laze around whole day at home and not do anything? and it's not just A day, it's like for weeks or months! gosh.. when im having my holidays and not working, i have insomnia. serious, cus i am so BORED til i can't sleep.

my life is back on track finally!

i got another myself another job! part time admin at a tuition centre opp. my block. cool, i can totally save alot on transportation! and food! though the pay is not alot, but still better than nothing! oh wait, i can save the time travelling too.

aint sure if i am still continuing the other job (cinenow) after my contract ends. if possible, i would like to keep that job too, but it will be hard balancing both jobs. so we shall see how it goes again...

& now, i shall work two jobs and save up for a camera!

there was a period of time when my friends & i were very much into techno. those were the days man. when my friends & i will sing techno out loud in school, or at random places!? haha. embarrassing much. really hilarious to think about it now. i remember we use to go to those carnival where they have those crazy rides, usually operated by those ahbengs. we would sit on these rides & scream & sing along to the techno played. good way to destress.

now? we seldom meet up, only on events like birthdays? even during birthday, not everyone is present too. everyone is leading their own life. maybe it's my fault. maybe i am not putting much effort to maintain this friendship. i really do miss all of them. really do miss those crazy secondary school life, where studies and money are the last thing on our mind. having fun, friends & "sistership" are the top priority. so what if i am broke, and dont own any labels? i had fun, and i was happy. i really miss those days. but there isn't any time machine for me to turn back the time. regret not cherishing my friends enough, taking things for granted....

anw, it's a brand new year alrd! fast huh. 2009 seem to pass pretty fast. let's take a look at my 2009 resolutions & see if i managed to fulfil them?

1) Save more money!!
(I wanna learn from jianhao & save up $1 coins. Well, will need a new piggy bank for this! :D)

DONE. managed to save up quite abit (all $1 coins), but spend them all on corey's bday.

2) Have more than $500 in my bank account at ALL times.
(no comment for this)

well.... did managed to have quite abit of money at a point of time, but i spend finish them all within 2 weeks. let's just say that amt that i spend within 2 weeks is enough for me to buy a decent DSLR.

3) Slim down to ideal weight & to maintain a healthy diet.
(I need to cut down on oily/fried food & eat more veggies!)

still eating more veggies, but the slimming down part? i think fail badly ah. dont dare to step on the weighing scale since months ago :(

4) Get into poly.
(Hope my GPA's able to make it. Im alrd slowed down!)

DONE! got into RP. though not my ideal school, but still, better than nothing.

5) Keep my hair long!
(HAHAHAHA i know y'all not gonne believe this, but im rrly trying had not to cut hair now)

YES it's longer now! only trim abit now & then.

6) Find a part-time job!
(Need extra $$$ & also to waste time)

holidays are approaching! & w34k class chalet has been confirmed! 14th - 15th dec. it's still a school day, but it's kinda ridiculous, go to school for a day then its holidays. weird right? hate rp's calendar. but nvm, no one's going to school on that day. anw we alrd told the comms faci that majority of us aint coming to school on that day. so i think it's fine? haha! & maths faci (who is also our mentor) chip in $100 for the chalet instead of $75! teeheeeee. more money to spend then. the chalet's money is with me, and rasheed and i were like behaving like kids high on drugs while we are counting the money in class! $360 now! wooo enough to get a pair of nudies, and a fred perry. haha! but no luh.......... IT'S FOR THE CHALET & THE FOOD. don't worry, although i love shopping, i wont spend away my classmates' money! :D

sheesha yesterday with my classmates was fun! havent laughed so hard for a loooong time alrd. we were like talking so loudly and laughing so loudly! like our grandfather's shop eh.

before sheesha-ing, we went down to town cus i wanna get my oakleys fixed but the guy there told me i can only go to the service center to do it. & he also said that "yours is a limited edt frogskins, so im not sure sure if they can repair, but you can try". THANKS ALOT EH to the guy working @ oakleys. what do you mean by "im not sure if they can repair, but you can try"? another case like the nike watch? i hope not........ anw the blooody service center is at RedHill. bloody hell.

geeee. haven't been blogging much i suppose. been feeling tired everyday even though i think i prolly sleep more than an average person do. so i conclude, the more you sleep, the more tired you feel, no?

this week havent been a good one.. esp wednesday! fucking suay day. seriously unlucky ttm.

reached class 2 mins late, and i was marked LATE. cognitive faci cannot give chance?

faci group us that day according to what time we reach. so once again, im in the same team as rehna (indian girl)... great.

well, despite all, i was still in a pretty good mood so i ate alot that day. FAT

3rd meeting, presentation start. my team was the last team to present. we used alil slides from our friends' (various resources), and we even double/tripe checked that we do not have the same faci. but still, so fucking suay, one of our slides came from the 6P (faci's presentation) itself. awesome anot you tell me. i still lie so much about how we got did the slide and all that. in the end? "I know you did not do this slide because it is from the 6P." IN MY FACE man seriously. & she was so friggin' harsh with her words. saying we do not understand our own presentation? excuse me, if we do not understand, how the hell we managed to explain when other classmates prompt questions? it's just that ONE slide, is there a need for you to judge us based on that slide? urgh. i seriously dislike my cognitive faci. like, she will praise you saying you know how to explain and elaborate your points. BUT, at the end of the day, she will give you a C, cus you "seem" distracted. YEA, "SEEM". dear faci... i bet no one told you before, but sometimes, what you see may not be what you get. so please do not assume that I am not paying attention to other people presentation. you dont allow us to use laptop during other's presentation, and you dont allow us to use phone as well? what if it's urgent huh? urghhh talking abt her makes me mad.

after school went down to Jurong for a job interview with ester. til now still havent call me back, 70% rejected, i guess? :(

took a cab to amk from jurong east. extremely bad day to take a taxi. it was raining, and everywhere was jam. the entired cab ride was 1 hour 15 mins & it cost $35. wtf right. i take train also faster!

this pretty much sums up my super unlucky wednesday. thursday and friday aint any better... tmr's gna be another looooong day. going to JB in the evening for my cousin's baby full month. last friday met up with my darling girl elle for a mani/pedi session. love her lots! she came to rp and picked me up haha :) after the nails session, we rushed down to balestier to "zhng" her car. full of charmy kitty now! cute :) dinner at boon tong kee! totally dig such meet ups with her. get to do girly stuff & gossip like nobody's business. <3

and on saturday, met up with corey & his camp mates (eejun samuel hubert) at town. samuel's getting a burberry polo and he took sucha long time to decide on which colour etc.! worse than a girl please. haha! dinner at Breeks ;) then walk arounddddd town. went to Neverland @ Orchard Plaza for one of their campmate - denson (?) birthday celebration. first time into a thai club? hahaha. cool. so, corey & me were kinda in a rush so we only stayed for awhile. drank abit and took a cab down to amk. met up with the rest for "2012" 120am show.

the movie was awesome! pretty nice & kinda realistic? hmm. overall, i think it's not bad. worth watching! the movie lasted for 2 hours and 30 mins. Jh, ch, corey and me then went down to NUH cus the boys wanna 'chao-keng' and take mc. Jh and me waited from 4plus to 6plus!! haha. slept in the car while waiting. tooooooo tired. but end up, only corey managed to get mc. reached home around 7am.

woke up at 5pm on sunday. tired like dog. seems like the more i sleep, the more tired i get? hmmm. ate at home, and prepare to meet Jh, ch and corey again. went to play LAN at our usual spot. suman came l8r. tried L4D 2, it was okay.... kinda funny, you get to kill zombies with frying pan, guitars, parangs! HAHAHAHA. nice. but i still kinda prefer the original L4D. got feelings for the characters alrd! hehe. played TD also, and end our session playing Blackshot! awesome!

dinner at nearby kopitiam before walking back to jh house, and he drove us all home :)

AHHHH yet another school week :( im seriously dreading school. especially maths & physics. totally don't understand a single thing. so not motivated to go to school. going to school now seems more like a chore.... a chore which i can't wait to get over & done with. zzz still got 2 years plus more to go!

My day started off pretty well. It was raining heavily and I dint bring my brolly out (i thought the rain wasnt heavy). So i was like waiting to cross the road in the rain, and this kind lady offered to share her brolly with me! such kind actions are quite rare.

School was pretty fun. Engineering design again! today was quite stress, gotta finish up the prototype and poster for presentation. initally was quite slackish. but when its nearing the time to pass up, all panick! seriously panick like siao. i dint even went down for both breakfast & lunch break!

but still, my team managed to finish it on time :) our dustbin have the cutest name. it's call Cutie Binz. HAHAHA. dunno why we came up with sucha name also? presentation was fast, by 245pm we are done. but got UT! so cant go home. put those stuff back and i went to Koufu to eat with some of my classmates. zomg the malay boys are so fucking funny. cannot stop laughing haha.

After 3 lessons of designing our "dustbin", we finally get to build it today! okay it wasnt so fun building it. must measure the dimensions, draw, re-draw, cut, fold, connect until crazy. my hand was like jelly after the cuttings & all! and i dint even cut alot. hahaha. next week gonne continue building it! must think of a way to build the mechanism in it. not so easy okay!

anw, i totally dig my engineering design team mates! very funny group of people hahahaha. maybe my new class isnt that bad after all...... :)

so i've been working for 5 days alrd. so far so good. dealing with kids really make me alot more patient. some of them are really funny and they are really quite smart! just that they are really noisyyyyy and easily distracted. i find myself resisting the urge to hurl vulgarities at them. anw, i didnt scold vulgarities for 4days! thats an accomplishment. i gave in on saturday night though haha. jh ch pl & gina decided to come and pick me up from work today. i was really grateful, cus my ipod died on me in the morning & i was really dreading the looooooong train ride without music.

tmr's gna be another long day at work. i forsee myself having totally no life during this holidays. im usually too tired to do anything at night. but lucky for me, im not working this saturday (corey's POP!). hehehe and after that, meeting up with my pri sch friends. not sure how it will turn out to be like, cus its like all of us were from different classes in pri school and all. but im sure it will be good!

been reading books on pyschology/sick fiction recently. one of my colleague influenced me and now i just keep reading. it's really an eye-opener reading real-life stories of child abuse, sexual abuse etc. some of my favs are "Falling Leaves", "Crying In The Dark" and now im reading "My Story" by Dave Pelzer. it's a trilogy about his account of his alleged abuse as a child by an alcoholic mother. im sure many of you read his book b4. "A child call It", "A Lost Boy" and "A man called Dave" are all written by him. it's very heart wrenching reading all these stories. oh well. saw afew recommended titles at Borders, gna get them soon after i've finished this :)

and last sunday, met up with dommie & agnes for breakfast at macs! i slpt at 3am and drag myself up at 9am. but had fun catching up with them as well!

and as for today.... gave school a miss because i was having a very bad sore throat. took panadols and its making me drowsyyyyyy.
